By I’ve never been a fan of fanny packs. I’ve always preferred pockets on my jeans. One of the reasons for that is because I can always reach my hand in, and my fanny pack has always felt like too big an area of my pocket. I was always afraid of being stuck for too long in the pocket area.
This is why fanny packs are a bit less popular today. They are still very popular, but I would argue that they have gotten smaller and smaller. Today they are almost a one-size-fits-all thing. It has been a year since I bought a fanny pack (the first one in my bag was the size of a small purse) and I still have a good few left. But because of this, I don’t wear it as much as I used to.
The reason I say this is because many people wear fanny packs as a way to avoid having to carry a wallet or phone. Many times, I think it is a little silly and that it should just be for emergencies. But today I realize that carrying a fanny pack is actually a necessity for many reasons. It is a fact that a person can carry too much and it can be inconvenient and it can be a little uncomfortable.
And as a result, I’m not always sure I’m taking my fanny pack into public places without it in my hand. This is because I feel like a lot of people have really awkward outfits where you have to fold up your dress or purse to wear it. In the past, I’ve been guilty of just putting it on my head and walking around, but now I know what I’m doing. You’re welcome.
